PBIS

Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) is an evidence –based three-tiered framework, utilizing data to make decision that improve student outcomes.  PBIS creates a school climate where students feel safe, supported, and successful.  As a part of Tier 1, students are taught expectations in all areas of the school and rewarded for following those expectations.  Tier 2 supports students struggling to follow the expectations by utilizing plans to help them gain the skills they need.  Students at the Tier 3 level receive more intensive support.

We want to promote leadership, communication and pride throughout our school by actively demonstrating positive behavior.

Students are expected to follow the “Viking Vision” in all areas of school.  The expectations include being responsible, respectful, and ready.  Student are rewarded for positive behaviors and held accountable for their choice of actions.

Students earn positive stamps on reward cards for upholding our Northley values.  

Be respectful.  

Be responsible. 

Be ready.

Reward cards can be redeemed in multiples of 10.  Prizes vary.

The committee has several fundraisers each year to purchase rewards for the store and for the Viking 200 program.  There is a fall and spring walk-a-thon, several dining out nights at Freddy’s in Brookhaven, a February lolli-gram sale, and more. 

Students are reminded of our positive behavior expectations several times a year.
