Summer Reading Assignments by Grade

Reading over the summer strengthens academic skills and builds a strong foundation for the year ahead.

• Grades 6-12: Summer reading assignments are required for all students entering grades 6 through 12. Assignments are posted by grade level for both Northley Middle School and Sun Valley High School. Students can also access their assignments through Schoology.
• Grades K-5: While summer reading is not required for elementary students, we encourage families to continue reading at home to support growing literacy skills.

Visit the Library: Families are encouraged to explore books and programs at the Aston Public Library throughout the summer.
