Students Have Access to Sensory-Friendly Resources at Aston Library

We’re thrilled to share that the Aston Public Library has achieved a prestigious sensory-friendly designation through KultureCity, a leading nonprofit promoting inclusivity for individuals with sensory needs.

This certification means that Aston Public Library is now better equipped to support individuals with sensory sensitivities, such as autism, PTSD, or dementia. Library staff have received specialized training, and sensory bags - containing noise-canceling headphones, fidget tools, and more—are available to help visitors who may feel overwhelmed.

As winter break approaches, the library is a perfect place for students and families to visit, explore, and take advantage of a welcoming, inclusive environment.

To learn more, check out the KultureCity app for available sensory features and a social story to help you plan your visit.
