Coebourn students had a special guest teacher in STEM class this month.

Eighth grader Dylan Pothier visited Ms. Cameron’s STEM classes to lead hands-on lessons as part of his Action Plan for the Chief Science Officers program, an international initiative that empowers students to expand STEM awareness through outreach and education.

The Chief Science Officer program challenges students to design and implement projects that bring STEM opportunities to their schools and communities. For his project, Dylan partnered with CSO advisor Ms. DiPietro and collaborated with the DCIU to secure additional STEM materials for the experience.

Throughout the afternoon, Dylan guided students through engaging activities, sharing not only his knowledge but also his enthusiasm for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

We are proud of Dylan for stepping into a leadership role and creating meaningful STEM experiences for younger learners.
