Summer Reading
Reading year round helps students meet academic challenges and encourages them to develop independent reading habits. With this in mind, here are the reading assignments for incoming students at Northley grade 6 - 8. Click each headline to access the reading packet with all the information you need for summer reading.
Grade 8 reading
Students will be able to choose one of two books and, while reading, complete Summer Reading Logs for each of the 3 sections of a reading log.
Grade 7 reading
This year students will have a choice for the required book for summer reading. Both books share the themes of survival, friendship, perseverance, and selflessness which mirror some of the programs currently in place at Northley Middle School.
Grade 6 reading
Students will have a choice of the required book for summer reading. Both books share the themes of survival, friendship, perseverance, and selflessness, which mirror some of the programs currently in place at NMS.
